Committed to the Regenerative Agriculture

Keeping soil covered with living plants is crucial to prevent erosion, retain moisture, regulate temperature, build organic matter, and support soil life.

Reduce tillage (plowing) to protect soil structure, microbial life, and organic matter.

Livestock (especially pastured pigs!) enhances soil health, biodiversity, and farm resilience by mimicking natural grazing patterns.

Incorporate and maintain a variety of plants and animals to enhance ecosystem resilience and nutrient cycling.

Use cover crops or diverse plantings to ensure roots are in the ground as much as possible, feeding soil biology and increasing organic matter.

All frozen pork is delivered locally (currently only with the golden horseshoe area – usually within a 2 hour delivery window) and packed in insulated bags to ensure optimal freshness upon arrival. If you have a porch, you could also leave a cooler out that we could leave the pork in upon delivery.
No, we currently do not delivery nationwide, as additional specialized shipping and packing insulation would be required. Our standard delivery is within a short distance from our farm to ensure the product is delivered quickly and stays frozen; currently we deliver to Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Guelph, Cambridge, and Kitchener. We may only travel to certain cities on a specific day of the week.
Because of the refrigeration and temperature control requirements, most deliveries are handled directly by us or by farm staff, so there is not a specific online tracking system. However, you will receive an email after ordering with the expected delivery day.
Absolutely! We work WITH nature – our pastured pigs are integrated into the local ecosystem to improve soil health, enhance biodiversity, and promote animal welfare. This is unlike an unsustainable commercial pig farm that causes environmental degradation, and has significant water consumption, high antibiotic usage, and inhumane, high-stress conditions for the animals.
No, we are ANTIBIOTIC FREE. We understand this is a controversial topic, as many will say that antibiotics are necessary for farming, and that the small amount of residual antibiotics that get passed along in the meat are not a problem. We prefer to NOT TAKE THE RISK, as healthy pastured animals do not need antibiotics, and some scientists say that long-term exposure to antibiotic residue in meat is “linked to impairment of the immune system, digestive problems caused by the destruction of the intestinal flora, renal problems, and even carcinogenic effects”. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9142037
No, there are no microplastics in our pork, as we have eliminated the vast majority of plastics from our farming systems, and most of their food comes from our farm, without any plastic packaging being used (pasture forage, vegetables, fruit that is stored and fed without plastics). Unfortunately, the same can not be said commercial pig farms with studies suggesting that 80% of commercial pork will test positive for microplastic contaminants.
Yes! We have done special gift orders and can arrange special gift packaging. Please contact us with your requirements and we will let you know what we can do.
